For most adult students taking two to three classes a week with short daily practice, the full Qaida foundation takes about three to five months. Reading fluently from the Mushaf usually follows within a further two to three months. Children typically take four to six months for the foundation, depending on age and pace.

Many Muslims around the world read the Quran fluently without speaking Arabic. If you want to understand the meaning later, that's a separate step through our Quranic Arabic or Tafseer courses.
This course teaches you how to read the Arabic text of the Quran. The Tajweed course teaches you how to recite it correctly with the full rules of pronunciation. You need to be able to read before you can properly apply Tajweed, so most students complete this course first and then move into Tajweed. If you can already read but want to fix your recitation, start with the Tajweed course directly.
